Mary is a resident of the Sarasota area since 1988, currently living in North Port. Mary is the mother of 4 beautiful children: Christina, Jason, Tiffany and Jessica. I thank God for the honor and trust of such an awesome gift. I enjoy cooking, shopping, reading and going to the beach. I thank God for the opportunity to be part of Church Plaza.

Nitza Dowdy

I joined ChurchPlaza in 1999 as Controller. I enjoy the diversity my position offers and the great team I work with. I am a native of Puerto Rico and have lived in Florida since 1981 and just love it. I have two wonderful children: Erik attends The Tampa Arts Institute and Brett attends Manatee Community College. I am extremely blessed and proud to be theirmom. I love the water; enjoy Scuba Diving, Fly-Fishing and just going to the beach. Most of all I enjoy spending time with my family and taking in some baseball games especially when my kids are playing. I am extremely proud to be a part of the ChurchPlaza family.

Dr. Thomas J. McElheny
Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Tom has served as faculty member at Florida Atlantic University, CEO of a NASDAQ listed public companty, CEO of a major management development center and Chairperson of a 25,000 student public school system. He was also a commissioned Marine officer for 6 years and is a decorated Vietnam veteran and airborne jumpmaster. Tom served as an ordained elder and Sunday school teacher for many years.

Tom and his lovely wife, Dee, have been happily married for 38 years and are the fortunate parents of 5 great kids including a decorated Coast Guard Pilot, a decorated Marine Corps Pilot, a special education teacher, her pastor husband and everyone's favorite sibling who is a very very very special child.

Operations Manager

I have been with the company since 1998. I am truly blessed to work for such a great company. I have been a Florida resident since 1989. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my Husband, shopping, and going to the beach.
